Our story

We started with one Sunday.

A crate we packed for friends: good coffee, a jar of sour cherry jam, honey with the comb still in it. They kept asking for the next one, so here we are.

How it began

Breakfast is the one meal nobody rushes on a Sunday.

Sunday Crate began as a box we packed for friends: a bag of coffee from a roaster we liked, a jar of sour cherry jam, a slab of honey with the comb still in it. They kept asking for the next one.

Today we work with fourteen small producers, most of them within a day’s drive of our kitchen in Milan. We taste everything, we pack every crate by hand on Thursday, and it leaves on Friday for your weekend.

You can build a crate yourself, once, from the whole pantry. Or you can let us choose: three curated crates, changed with the seasons, that you can subscribe to every two or four weeks and pause whenever life gets in the way.

Three things we will not change

However big the pantry gets.

Step 1: Names on every jar

Every product page says who made it and where. If we cannot name the producer, it does not go in a crate.

Step 2: Subscriptions without the fine print

Pause, restart or cancel from your account. No emails, no phone calls, no guilt.

Step 3: Paper, straw and a crate you keep

No plastic fill. The kraft crate is sturdy enough for the pantry shelf, and most of ours end up there.

Thursday, in the kitchen

Every crate is packed by hand, the day before it leaves.

Jars get wrapped in paper, the granola goes in last so it stays on top, and every crate gets a card that says what is inside and who made it. On Friday morning it goes out with our riders in Milan and with the courier everywhere else.
